“Hating Girls: An Intersectional Survey of Misogyny” To Be Available for Open Access in 2022

When Hating Girls: An Intersectional Survey of Misogyny came out in the summer of 2021, it received so much attention that Knowledge Unlatched  selected it for pledging as a means to provide free Open Access beginning in 2022. Knowledge Unlatched brings together university libraries from all over the world to fund open access to important books. The funding is done through crowdsourcing within the library community. The ebook will be made freely available under a CC BY-NC license, in OAPEN (the central directory for Open Access books), on JSTOR, and included in Brill’s ebook collections for free.

Since 2014 Brill has successfully published more than 75 books in Open Access via Knowledge Unlatched. Brill is confident that the funding through Knowledge Unlatched will come through, thus they have loosened Brill’s self-archiving policy permitting us to share digital offprints.

Thank you, Brill and Knowledge Unlatched!
